About Brooke Hobbs

This is my 16th year in education. I taught 8 years in Mesquite ISD and this is my 8th year here in Sunnyvale ISD.

I graduated from Texas A&M University of Commerce with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I also earned my Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University of Commerce. I have been trained in the MTA Program and have an English as a Second Language Certification (EC-12) as well as a Special Education Certification (EC-12).

Being an educator is wonderful, but being a mom is what I am most proud of. My daughter Jacquelin graduated from High School in May and will continue her education at Texas A&M University. Whoop!

Teaching is my passion and building relationships with my students and their families is one of my top priorities. Teaching in Sunnyvale ISD and building relationships within our community has been such a blessing to me.

I look forward to another amazing year as a Raider!!

Welcome!

I will be updating this page with helpful links throughout the year. On the tabs to the left you will find several helpful resources regarding the ESL program and dyslexia.  Please feel free to email me with any questions.  I am here to help!  I hope you have a wonderful school year!!

How Sunnyvale Identifies English Learners

Below you will find a video that outlines how English Learners are identified in our district.  This is a process used across the state and helps us provide support and services for our students.
