Eclipse 2024

Learn About the Solar Eclipse Safely and in Fun Ways!

Even though there will be no school on Monday, April 8th while the total eclipse is taking place, each student will be sent home with solar viewing  protective eyewear courtesy of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Should you choose to view this event at home as a family, it is imperative that your child use the safety eyewear provided and follow all safety guidelines for outdoor viewing of an eclipse.

There is also the option to livestream the total eclipse from indoors using the NASA Livestream. For more information about eclipse safety, the livestream, and educational activities for the eclipse, check out the links below.  It is our hope that this day provides an opportunity for learning and memory making for your student!
