The Varsity Lady Raiders will take on Ponder High School in a warm-up game tonight, Monday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m. in Sunnyvale.
Then, get ready to cheer them on in the first round of playoffs this Thursday, Oct. 30, against North Lamar High School at Sherman High School — game time is 7 p.m.

On Monday, October 20, Sunnyvale ISD officially broke ground on our 2024 Bond projects! The ceremony marked an exciting milestone in the district’s ongoing commitment to enhancing facilities and supporting student growth.💙💛

Mayor Saji George, Council Member Manu Danny, Interim Town Manager Bill Vegas, members of the SISD Board of Trustees, Superintendent Matt Kimball, Facilities and Finance Committee members, SISD staff, WRA Architects, Gallagher Construction, students, and community members gathered on the practice field between the fieldhouse and the softball field to celebrate the start of construction.
Following the ceremony, Superintendent Kimball shared an overview of Phase 2 projects, which include:

🏫 updates at Sunnyvale Intermediate School
🚍 construction of new transportation facilities
👩‍🍳 a Culinary Arts/Professional Development and Childcare Center at the administrative complex
🏗 renovations at Sunnyvale Elementary and the Alamo

Phase 1 construction will begin soon and includes:
🏫CTE addition
🔬science lab renovation
🏐🏀auxiliary gym
🏢multipurpose Activity Center
🚧fieldhouse renovations
🎵expanded band parking
🅿️and additional parking areas.

Sunnyvale ISD extends sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed to the development of these projects. The future of Sunnyvale ISD is taking shape!

What a day and game to remember! 💛💙 The Raiders brought the energy to the all district Homecoming pep rally and the crowd roared as Sunnyvale took a commanding 77–0 victory over Kemp in our Homecoming game! We celebrated our incredible Homecoming Court, cheered on our teams, enjoyed the band, dance, and cheer performances—and created memories that will last a lifetime. 🏈✨

🎉🏆During halftime of the Homecoming game on October 17, the 2025 Legacy Award was presented to former Texas History teacher, PE teacher, and coach Mr. Mike Krone.

Wednesday, Oct. 15 - Get ready for the Homecoming Parade & Community Pep Rally!
The parade begins at 5:30 p.m. and will run from SIS to Raider Stadium, starting at Hounsel Lane & Raider Lane - ending in the stadium parking lot.
Homecoming Community-Wide Pep Rally takes place in Raider Stadium immediately after the parade.
