The Sunnyvale Aquatics Team is hosting a parents night out event on April 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sunnyvale Elementary School gym. Sunnyvale ISD celebrated community and connection at its Legacy Club lunch on April 8, hosted at Sunnyvale Intermediate School. Guests enjoyed performances by the talented Intermediate Orffestra and choir, showcasing the incredible arts programs in our district. Students and staff shared information about student engagement in the campus and the Sunnyvale community through involvement in FFA, the Kindness Club and more. Superintendent Kimball shared updates about student athletic and academic successes and well as bond news updates.

SHS Robotics students Luke Sims and Kenaz Varghese, alongside their teacher Michell Frederiksen, highlighted how the robotics program is shaping their future educational and career plans. They also celebrated their incredible achievement of earning 2nd place at the UIL State Robotics Competition! 🤖🏆
SHS student Sara John reflected on how participating in the recent Career Fair boosted her confidence in job interviewing and career readiness. 💼👏
College and Career Readiness Coordinator Prince Johnson and Courtney Sharkey, Director of Advanced Academics, CTE, and Accountability, shared updates on initiatives that are empowering students to succeed in academics and beyond.

The Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo’s Calf Scramble Scholarship Committee announced on March 26 that Sunnyvale High School student and FFA member Corlee Thomas has been awarded a $6,000 scholarship. Thomas is pictured with Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo by Calf Scramble Committee Member Paxton Motheral .
Thomas earned the scholarship through her hard work and dedication in completing the demanding Calf Scramble program. Her Brangus heifer project was sponsored by the Thornton Family of Dallas, Texas. Scholarship requirements included caring for a heifer, submitting monthly reports, exhibiting at the 2025 Fort Worth Livestock Show, and writing a final essay.
