I am so excited about this school year! This is my 15th year in Sunnyvale and my 23rd year to teach. 

I graduated from East Texas State University (now Texas A&M University - Commerce - Go Lions!) with my Bachelor of Science in Counseling & Guidance and Speech.  I received my Masters of Education from Texas A&M University - College Station (Gig 'Em Aggies) in Educational Administration  I am certified in Technology Applications & Elementary Education.  I have my Gifted Education Endorsement from the University of North Texas. I completed my School Librarian coursework at Texas A&M University - Commerce in 2012. Previously, I taught in the Mesquite and Community school districts.  

I am married to Ryan and we have 3 sons.  My oldest son, Sam is a senior at Arkansas Tech University.  My middle son, Zac is a sophomore at Oklahoma State University.  My youngest son, Brennan is in the in 9th grade at SHS.   We have two dogs - Cub a Germany Sheppard & Lab mix and Dobby a Puggle. I enjoy reading, writing, coloring, listening to podcasts, walking in my neighborhood, doing yoga and hanging out with family and friends.  

I love our Sunnyvale community.  I want our students to enjoy reading and learn more about themselves and others through reading.
